Alternative Displays

This workshop took place at the Elisava Design School in Barcelona (15–18 Dec 2020). Participants built an urban low‑resolution screen called the Public Protest Billboard (PPB). The workshop focused on assembling LED stripes, electronics and communication to create an alternative urban display. Students learned to control LED strips and combine the electronics into a display that could show text, low‑resolution images and act as a powerful light source.
